Kenneth D. Shumate, Dentist 

Dr. Kenneth Shumate, was born and raised in Washington D.C. He graduated from T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, VA. Dr. Shumate was a mathematics teacher, track and football coach for Westlake High School and General Smallwood Middle School.

He attended High Point University in High Point, NC graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. He then graduated with honors from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN and is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He completed advanced training in general dentistry and implant dentistry at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington D.C. Dr Shumate advanced training in dental implants makes it possible to have your implants placed and restored in his office. Dr Shumate is an African American Dentist in Waldorf MD and has operated this dental practice since 2013.

Dr. Shumate is a current member of the National Dental Association (professional association of minority dentist), the Academy of Osseointegration ( Dental Implant Association ), the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Patuxent Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. 


Antonia Larry, Dental Assistant

Toni is a graduate of Forestville Military Academy, which was located in Prince Georges County Maryland. Toni has been with Waldorf Dental Care since 2017 and is instrumental to successful dental care delivered to our patients.

Toni is mother to three beautiful children. She’s the daughter and sister to a loving family and friend to many who have gotten to know her. She enjoys traveling and always has a good story to tell. If you have a question or concern Toni would do her best to assist you.
